The Challenges Ripple Into Communities

1 in every 4 kids arrested at school, has disabilities or struggles with mental health. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for children, adolescents, and young adults aged 15 to 24. The majority have a significant mental health disorder, and suicide attempts are often impulsive.

The numbers are even worse for students in historically underrepresented groups with disabilities. African-American students with disabilities represent 18.7% of the special education population, but half of the special education students that are incarcerated.

Only 37% receive services while in school. The number of kids like this is growing at a terrifying rate all over the world and misinformation and stigmas surrounding their differences are dangerous and need to be addressed now. The longer we allow this to happen, the worse it becomes for them and everyone else too.

family-with-adhd

We are on a mission to: Help caregivers of kids with special needs by providing resources from our 70+ world-leading instructors in fields such as Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychology, and Special Education (with a special focus on ADHD).

We do this by: Supporting families in underrepresented communities. We then design a program to address those families’ specific needs to help caregivers tackle ADHD and other possible comorbidity effectively and efficiently with our holistic care. Through tracking and monitoring their results, we assist families in applying the things learned during the training to their everyday lives.

But first: We need to raise funds from socially responsible and philanthropic organizations to sponsor families through our CSR and Philanthropy for Special Needs program.
